15th Anniversary Gala 2008

Please join us for our 15th Anniversary Gala Celebration and Silent Auction. The evening will begin with a performance at the historic Southern Theater that will feature the world premiere of two new works, as well as an extended version of Sva (Vital Force) , the collaboration that we previewed at last year's Gala and which has since wowed audiences from New York City to Washington State. The evening will feature the artistry of light designer Jeff Bartlett, live drawing by New York-based visual artist Terry Rosenberg, and live performance by New Delhi-based composers/musicians Shubhendra Rao (sitar) and Saskia Rao-de Haas (cello), and the Wadaiko ensemble Tokara of Nagano, Japan.

After the performance, guests will move to the striking Weisman Art Museum, just a few blocks away, for a delicious Indian dinner and open bar.

The evening will conclude with silent & live auctions highlighted by vacation packages, gift certificates to the Twin Cities' most lauded theaters and restaurants, home-cooked and delivered Indian dinners, and exquisite Indian art hand-picked by Ranee and Aparna on their most recent trip to India.

4 pm: Doors open

5 pm: Performance by Ragamala and guests at the Southern Theater

7 pm: Open bar and dinner reception at the Weisman Art Museum

8 pm: Silent Auction bidding begins

10 pm: Silent Auction closes • Dessert Reception • Live Auction

$75 in advance; $80 at the door
