From Temple to Theater: Remembering Uday Shankar
Accompanied by an original score composed by internationally renowned sitarist Shubhendra Rao, disciple of sitar legend Ravi Shankar, this production celebrates Uday Shankar, the man who brought Indian classical dance out of the temple sanctuaries and royal households and into the western theater format.
